Alexandra Raisman

Aly Raisman, an Olympic gold medalist in gymnastics has helped lead America to victory in both 2012 and 2016. U.S. to victory in both 2012 and 2016. Aly has won the distinction of having six Olympic medals, as well as two World Championships gold medals. Born in Needham, Massachusetts, Aly's enthusiasm for sport can be traced to a "mommy & me" gymnastics lesson she took as a baby of 18 months. Aly is a great supporter of body positive, and is both a leader as well as an activist on the ground. She has recently spoken out in Larry Nassar's sentencing case. Aly Raisman was born in 1994, and started her gymnastics career at a very young age. She was a part of the U.S. Gymnastics Team win the 2011 World Championships. The following year she was awarded two gold medals--one in the team competition and the second in the competition for the solo floor workout--along with a bronze in the beam competition at the 2012 Summer Olympics in London. In the year 2016, Raisman returned to compete at the Olympics in Rio she won silver medals at the individual floor and all-around final as well as a gold medal in the women's gymnastics team competition. Raisman came to a shocking conclusion in the year 2017. She had been physically abused by her team's physician Larry Nassar. In the year following, Raisman sued USA Gymnastics.
